Jane has been a Family Lawyer for over 20 years. She is a member of the Family Law Association. She has been a member of CALM (the Association of Family Law Mediators in Scotland) for over 15 years. She is accredited by the Law Society as a Family Law Mediator. She is trained in Collaborative Law practice. Jane has also undergone training with Core Mediation in commercial mediation.
Jane studied, trained and worked in Edinburgh for some years. Not only does she have experience in the Sheriff Court but also in Court of Session matters in higher value cases. Jane has significant experience in all aspects of Family Law, including child related matters, division of finances, pensions, business matters resulting from separation, impact on agricultural partnerships and companies. She is also appointed independently by the Court as a Court Reporter and Curator ad litem in matters relating to children in court actions.
Jane is committed to alternative dispute resolution by mediation or collaboration where possible.
Margaret joined the firm in 2007 after moving from England where she previously worked as a Paralegal. Margaret qualified as a Family Law Paralegal in Scots Law in 2009 and holds a Certificate from the University of Strathclyde's Law School. She is now a Registered Paralegal with Law Society of Scotland and a Fellow member of the Institute of Paralegals.
