Property Summary
A truly stunning 10 acres (approx.) woodland croft within easy driving distance of Inverness. With the most magnificent views, this commercial woodland croft, with over 17,000 native trees offers a superb opportunity for an individual or family in search of pure tranquillity, clean air and open skies to own a truly beautiful property in the heart of the Highlands. The superb mix of coniferous and deciduous trees, with large open areas, potentially suitable for a housing plot, sit on a gently sloping hillside bounded by a river running from the hills beyond. A haven for wildlife and birds, sightings of deer and birds of prey are commonplace. The trees planted include Silver Birch, Wild Cherry, Sycamore, Rowan and Goat Willow.
Although rural, Croft 3 has the advantage of neighbouring crofts in relative proximity. The current owner has a flock number which allows grazing under the trees.
As a barren croft, an application could be made to the crofting commission to set aside an area to be decrofted for the construction of a house, subject to the appropriate planning consents being obtained.
